Grow · For Established Independent Agencies

Better contracts for agencies that already write good business.

OAA members earn more per premium dollar on the business they already write, then grow faster with national markets, coaching, and bonus structures that pay for the growth itself. You keep your book, your codes, and your name on the door.

The Ceiling

Good agencies often hit a ceiling set by their carrier terms.

An agency that sells well hits a ceiling that has nothing to do with selling. Entry-tier commissions cap the margin on every policy. A thin carrier lineup caps the market you can quote into. Without profit-sharing eligibility, your best year pays at the same rate as your worst. None of that is a performance problem, and more production doesn't fix it; working harder inside those terms just writes more underpaid business.

The order is to change the terms first, then grow into them. Members move existing premium onto network contracts, open all five income layers, and work with a coach who has scaled agencies before.

The Growth Levers

Five growth levers, in order.

The sequence matters: economics first, markets second, then the operating disciplines that turn better contracts into a bigger agency.

  1. 01

    Re-Price the Book You Have

Move your existing premium onto network contracts for better base commissions and profit-sharing eligibility on business you've already written, so income rises before you write a new policy.

  2. 02

    Markets You Couldn't Reach

National carrier appointments and specialty access through the network, so you stop declining business you could be writing.

  3. 03

    An Agency Growth Coach

A named coach with a personalized growth plan: retention, producer development, sales process, and the operational discipline that decides whether the next 20% of premium arrives profitably or just arrives.

  4. 04

    Marketing Support

Marketing infrastructure, plus bonuses from SIAA's exclusive Performance Marketing Support Fund that pay you for growth.

  5. 05

    Hard-Market Leverage

When markets tighten, networked agencies keep options. Carrier relationships at OAA scale mean you always have something competitive to offer.

Run the Numbers

What would your current book earn through OAA?

Five income layers for an established independent agency writing $5M in annual premium, written solo and written through OAA. Illustrative figures2. Your number depends on your book.

Income layer Solo independent OAA member
01 Top-Tier Base Commissions Illustrative 10% solo vs. 11.5% network base commission on the same book. $500,000 $575,000
02 Profit Sharing At $5M a solo agency may clear one carrier's threshold; the network clears them across the lineup. $15,000 $60,000
03 Regional Bonuses OAA-territory growth and retention incentives, negotiated for the membership. — $22,000
04 SIAA Exclusive PMSF Bonuses Performance Marketing Support Fund — available only inside the SIAA network. — $16,000
05 SIAA National Profitability Bonuses National-tier bonuses on network-wide carrier performance. — $13,000
Annual income on the same book $515,000 $686,000 +$171,000 / yr

Both columns are gross annual income from carriers and the network, before OAA membership fees and before the agency's own operating expenses. The fee schedule is part of the conversation, not the table.

The real version of this table uses your premium, your carrier mix, and your state.

Is Grow Right For You?

OAA is for you if…

  • You write good business and suspect you're underpaid for it.
  • You're declining risks because you don't have the markets, not because you don't have the clients.
  • You want coaching on retention, producers, and pipeline in addition to market access.

And probably not the right fit if…

  • You want a new logo but no change to how the agency operates.
  • You're not willing to share your numbers with a coach.
  • Your plan is to shrink quietly toward retirement. See Exit instead.

Growing With OAA

Established independent agency, capped by a short carrier list. Good clients walking out the door for markets the agency couldn't quote.

Network carrier appointments opened the markets; an OAA growth coach worked the retention and producer side.

A carrier lineup that competes on every quote, and an agency that no longer apologizes for its rates.3

“The shackles have been kind of removed, and being better able to serve our clients with all the carriers we represent now has been life-changing in our business.”

  1. Member-agency count and premium written are One Agents Alliance network figures, covering business placed through OAA member agencies. ↩
  2. Illustrative economics. Figures are modeled on publicly documented independent-agency compensation structures for a hypothetical $5M-premium agency, not OAA member results, and not a statement of any carrier's or the network's contract terms. Actual figures depend on your book, your carriers, and your loss experience. ↩
  3. The quote is from a published One Agents Alliance member testimonial. The surrounding situation, support, and outcome summary is written by OAA to describe the member's path and has not been reviewed as a formal case study. ↩
